Winter in Champéry
The Portes du Soleil includes 12 linked resorts either side of the French-Swiss border and includes the well know resorts of Avoriaz, Châtel, Les Gets, Morzine-Avoriaz, Morgins among others. The National Powder Reserve offers skiers unspoilt surroundings, tranquil forests, and pistes that wind their way through meadows and forests, usually ending up at a charming mountain restaurant. The winter months in Champéry are packed with weekly events, competitions and activities. The ski area enjoys exceptionally good snowfall from November through till April, with an average of 8 meters of powder every year.
Summer in Champéry
Champéry is bustling in the summer and the cable cars are operational from June through till October. Summer activities include mountain biking, hiking, fishing, rock climbing, paragliding, swimming, tennis and many more. There are also numerous cultural and music festivals scheduled throughout the warm summer months as well as being close to Lake Geneva and everything on offer there. 24 chairlifts remain open during the summer which gives access to 600 kilometers of paths that can be explored on foot, horseback or bike.
